Mod Rex

The Mod Rex combines four independent modulation sections that run in sync: a MOD section with vibrato, flanger, chorus or phaser; a tremolo; a stereo panner; and a modulated filter that can be set to low-pass, high-pass or band-pass. Each section has its own depth control, its own choice of four LFO shapes (rising saw, triangle, falling saw, square) and its own note division, from a whole note down to a 16th note. Any section can be bypassed. In mono, the pan section works as a second tremolo with inverted wave shapes.

Tempo is set with the Tempo knob, the tap tempo footswitch or an expression pedal. It can also follow an external MIDI clock or a pulse clock. Up to 100 presets can be stored, and 20 factory programs are included. A Lock function keeps the current tempo when a preset is recalled.

The pedal has stereo inputs and outputs, a MIDI input for clock sync, program change and control change messages covering all parameters, an expression pedal input and a jack for an external foot controller or pulse clock. Bypass is buffered, and a power adapter is included.
