MEL9
The MEL9 is a digital pedal that gives an electric guitar nine Mellotron-style tape-keyboard voices without special pickups or MIDI. It suits guitarists, and also bass or keyboard players, who want polyphonic tape-replay textures.

The MEL9 is a polyphonic digital effect that recreates nine sounds associated with the Mellotron: Orchestra, Cello, Strings, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Brass, Low Choir and High Choir. It is played from an ordinary guitar signal, with no 13-pin MIDI pickup or other modification needed, and it follows bends, slides and whammy dive bombs.
Pitch tracking covers single notes and chords, down to 55 Hz (A1). It also works with bass down to the open A string and with keyboards, within a range of A1 to A5 and a polyphony of five notes. Attack sets how slowly notes swell in, and Sustain sets how long a sound fades out after playing stops. Separate Effect and Dry volume knobs set the mix at the Effect output.
The pedal has one input, an Effect output carrying the blended mix, and a Dry output that passes the input signal at unity gain. A footswitch toggles between effect and buffered bypass, and a power adapter is included.
