HOG

The HOG (Harmonic Octave Generator) is a polyphonic pitch and synth pedal that tracks chords across the full range without glitches. It offers control over up to 10 interval pitches, from two octaves below the original note to four octaves above. Typical uses include extreme sub bass, stacked multi-octave chords, turning a six-string into a twelve-string sound and imitating a B3 organ. It works with other instruments as well as guitar.

Sound shaping comes from a resonant filter with a sweepable frequency control, plus amplitude envelope controls that lengthen note attack for swells or speed up decay. The lower and upper harmonic regions have separate envelopes. An optional expression pedal offers seven modes, including pitch bend of plus or minus one octave and one step, freeze with glissando, volume, wah and filter frequency. Pitch bend mode gives whammy-style effects, and freeze holds a note or chord so the player can play over it or slide to new notes.

The pedal connects directly to the instrument's output, with a MIDI input for expression control by MIDI pitch bend. A 9LDC-500 power supply is included. The model was discontinued in 2013.
