Hell Melter

The Hell Melter is an analog distortion pedal that builds on a well-known chainsaw-style heavy metal circuit. It adds more output volume and a wider control set. A Normal/Burn switch selects between the classic voicing and a more open, less compressed sound with a sharper attack, which uses higher internal voltage rails and different clipping.

Shaping comes from Distortion and Level knobs plus an active three-band EQ with a parametric mid section (Mid Level and Mid Freq). A Dry Level mini knob blends clean input signal back in, which helps keep low end on bass or lets the pedal sit alongside other drive tones. A Gate mini knob sets a noise threshold and can be turned fully off.

There are two footswitches: one engages the effect with buffered bypass, the other turns on a boost that adds input gain and extra volume. The boost volume is set with an internal trimmer behind the back plate. The pedal is mono and runs from the included power adapter.
