Analog germanium-transistor overdrive pedal for guitar with Gain, Bias and Volts controls. Aimed at players who want 1960s-style germanium break-up and the sagging-voltage character of a dying battery. Discontinued in 2024.

The Germanium OD is a compact analog overdrive built around a germanium transistor. Besides a Gain knob that sets how much of the input signal reaches the circuit, it has a Bias knob that changes the current gain sent to the transistor, so the tone can be set right at the edge of break-up. A Volts knob lowers the voltage applied to the circuit, recreating the starved sound of a battery running low.
The pedal is mono and uses a true bypass footswitch. It is housed in a die-cast chassis and measures 4.75 x 4 x 2.25 inches. Current draw is 2 mA.
The guitar connects to the input jack and the output jack goes to an amplifier. Power comes from a 9V battery that is included, and an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter can be used but is not supplied. The model was released in 2008 and the manufacturer lists it as discontinued in 2024.
