Flanger Hoax

The Flanger Hoax is a modulation pedal that goes beyond ordinary flanging. Its performance controls interact with each other, so the player can set up frequency collisions that range from soft chorus-like shimmer through full phasing to extreme, dramatic effects.

The pedal offers five delay modes, one of which is DC, and five modulation modes running from 270 degrees to DC. A fixed phaser section can be inverted or bypassed, and the feedback path can be taken from the wet signal, the swept signal, or bypassed altogether. A Blend control sets the balance between dry and processed sound.

Output options include direct, blended and effect-only signals. The pedal uses true bypass switching and is suited to guitar, bass and keyboards. An 18DC-500 power supply was supplied with it. The model is no longer in production, and an owner's manual is available from the maker.
