The Deluxe Memory Boy is a mono analog delay built around a bucket-brigade design, with digital control used for the tap tempo and expression functions. Delay time is set from 34 ms to 700 ms, either with the Delay knob or by tapping the footswitch. A Tap Divide button steps through the available note subdivisions so the repeats can follow the tapped tempo.
Modulation is provided by a triangle or square wave, with Rate and Depth knobs for chorus, vibrato and sweeping effects. Blend mixes the dry and delayed signals, Feedback sets how much of the delay output is returned to its input, and Gain sets the input level. An Exp. Mode button assigns an optional expression pedal or control voltage to Rate, Depth, Feedback or Delay, or turns the control off.
The pedal has quarter-inch input and output jacks plus a Send and Return pair for a built-in effects loop, so other pedals can be placed inside the delay path. Bypass is true bypass, and a 9.6VDC 200mA power adapter is supplied.
