This pedal builds on the Big Muff Pi fuzz circuit and adds two toggle switches for reshaping the sound. The Wicker switch engages three high-frequency filters that open up the top end, giving a defined, raspy sustain. The Tone switch removes the tone control from the signal path for a broader, heavier response.
With the Wicker switch off and the Tone switch on, the pedal returns to the original Big Muff Pi voicing. Other combinations give a range of personal settings. Controls are Volume, Tone and Sustain knobs, plus the Wicker and Tone switches and a bypass footswitch.
The circuit is fully analog and uses true bypass. It has a mono input and output jack and runs from an included 9V battery, or from an optional 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter that is sold separately. Current draw is 5mA.
