The Bass Blogger is an analog bass distortion and fuzz pedal. A Fuzz/Drive switch selects between a smoother overdrive character and a heavier fuzz sound, and the Drive knob sets how much distortion or fuzz is added in either mode.
The Tone knob sweeps a filter from dark to bright across a linear frequency range. The Volume knob works as a master level after the gain stages in Fuzz mode; in Drive mode it is inactive and the signal stays at unity gain. A footswitch with a status LED switches between the effect and true bypass.
There are three jacks: an input, an effect output carrying the distorted bass, and a dry output that passes the original bass signal. This allows the clean and processed signals to be sent to separate destinations. The pedal is mono, housed in a die-cast chassis, and runs on a 9V battery that is included, or on an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter sold separately. It was released in 2008.
