The WS1425 is a small closed-cabinet, two-way on-wall speaker. It uses the drive unit from the ELAC BS 302 and is designed to give an even soundstage across a wide listening area. It suits both stereo and multi-channel installations where a low-profile speaker is needed.
The cabinet measures 8.7 x 8.7 x 3.9 (inches, as listed) and weighs 2.5 kg. It comes in white or black silk matte finishes, with a magnetic fabric grille in matching white or black. Frequency response is stated as 70 to 35,000 Hz, with a crossover at 70 / 2,900 Hz, a sensitivity of 87.5 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 Ω.
It mounts on a wall using a single key hole. The tonal balance matches other models in the WS Line, so different WS models can be mixed in one system even though their chassis technologies differ.
