Vertex III OW-VJ63M

The OW-VJ63M is a 2 1/2-way sealed on-wall loudspeaker that uses a JET folded ribbon tweeter with two 6-inch woofers. The crossover points are 450 Hz and 2,400 Hz, and the stated frequency response runs from 42 Hz to 50 kHz. It is built to share the sonic character of the maker's home audio speakers, so it can be mixed with other Vertex III and Vela models in a multichannel system.

The cabinet can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Four recessed keyhole inserts take the weight on the wall, and routed channels let cables sit in a cavity so the speaker can lie flush against the surface. Supplied brackets offer an alternative way to hang it in either orientation. A switch on the rear of the cabinet changes the tweeter tuning to match the chosen orientation.

The woofers use crystal-shaped aluminum cones for extra stiffness, and the JET 5 tweeter works on the air motion transformer principle. The speaker is rated for 40 to 200 watts of amplifier power at 4 ohms nominal impedance, and it ships with a black fabric grille.
