UniFi Reference UCR52
Three-way, bass-reflex center channel speaker from the UniFi Reference series, built around a concentric tweeter/midrange driver and two 5-1/4" aluminum woofers. Intended for home theater and hi-fi systems that need a dialogue-focused centre speaker.

The UCR52 is the centre-channel model in ELAC's UniFi Reference range. It uses a true three-way layout: a 1" soft-dome tweeter sits in the middle of a 4" aluminum midrange driver in a concentric arrangement, and two 5-1/4" aluminum-cone woofers handle the bass. The concentric unit has a cast chassis, a larger voice coil and a neodymium magnet, and the woofers also use cast baskets with larger magnets and vent holes.
The MDF cabinet is rated CARB2 and has a curved front baffle. A full perimeter brace ties the panels together to limit cabinet vibration, and a dual flared slot port is used to lower port noise and raise bass output. The crossover is specified for a 6-ohm nominal impedance, with crossover points at 240 Hz and 1800 Hz.
Connection is through 5-way bi-wire binding posts. Two finishes are offered: satin black with walnut sides, or satin white with oak sides. A sales sheet and an owner's manual are available from the maker.
