RS500
The Varro RS500 is a sealed 10-inch powered subwoofer from ELAC with a 500 W RMS BASH amplifier, DSP and Auto EQ. It targets music and home theater systems that need controlled low-frequency output from a compact cabinet.

The RS500 is a sealed-cabinet subwoofer built around a 10-inch sandwich aluminum woofer with a HEX surround. Its BASH amplifier is rated at 500 W RMS and 1000 W peak into 4 ohms. Anechoic response runs from 18 Hz to 150 Hz, and in-room response is given as 15 Hz to 150 Hz. Maximum output is 108 dB SPL at 1 m anechoic.
Digital signal processing handles extension, output and control, and an Auto EQ function is included. Settings are managed from an iOS or Android app over Bluetooth Low Energy. The low-pass crossover can be set between 40 Hz and 150 Hz.
For connection, the subwoofer has RCA line-level and speaker-level inputs, a 12 V trigger input, a USB port for firmware updates and an Ethernet port for third-party control. Standby consumption is below 2.0 W. The cabinet comes in a satin black finish, and a grille, AC power cord and spikes are supplied.
