The DFR53 is the floorstanding model in the Debut Reference 3.0 range and builds on the Debut 3.0 platform with a new three-way design. A 1" aluminum dome tweeter with an integrated phase plug handles the highs, a dedicated 4" aramid fiber midrange covers the middle, and two 5.25" aramid fiber woofers handle the bass. A crossover network splits the signal at 550 Hz and 2150 Hz, and two front-firing flared ports tune the bass reflex enclosure.
The cabinet has softly rounded edges and a synthetic leather-wrapped top panel. It comes in five finishes: White, Green, Titanium, Walnut and Black. The speaker measures 1016 x 202 x 242 mm.
The speaker is rated at 87 dB sensitivity with a 6 Ω nominal impedance and a frequency range of 43 Hz to 34 kHz (-3 dB). It is meant to be driven by an external amplifier of 30 to 150 W. The page lists availability as expected in early November.
