Debut Reference DBR62

The DBR62 is a two-way, bass-reflex bookshelf speaker. A 1-inch soft-dome tweeter sits behind a waveguide and an open grille to extend the upper treble, and a 6-1/2-inch aramid fiber cone woofer handles the low end. The crossover point is 2200 Hz and the stated frequency response runs from 44 Hz to 35,000 Hz.

The cabinet is built from CARB2-rated MDF with a full perimeter brace joining the top, bottom and side panels to reduce panel vibration. The woofer uses a cast chassis for extra stiffness, and a dual flared slot port is intended to give more bass output with less port noise.

The speaker connects to an amplifier through 5-way metal binding posts. It has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a sensitivity of 86 dB at 2.83 V/1 m, with a maximum power input of 120 watts. Two finishes are offered: a white baffle with an oak cabinet, or a black baffle with a walnut cabinet. It belongs to a series that also includes the DCR52 center channel and the DFR52 floorstanding model.
