The WH950NB (New Version) is a closed-back wireless headphone with hybrid active noise cancellation driven by four microphones. An Ambient Sound Mode lets outside sound through, and wind noise reduction is included for calls and listening outdoors. The same four-mic array handles voice pickup for hands-free calls.
Sound comes from 40mm dynamic drivers with an ultra-thin PET diaphragm and titanium coating. The headphones support LDAC and are certified for Hi-Res Audio in both wired and wireless use, with frequency response extending to 40kHz. Soft leather and memory foam ear pads are used for comfort. A multi-function button switches between modes, and the EDIFIER ConneX app offers preset EQs (EDIFIER, Jazz, Rock, Bass) plus adjustable custom EQ.
Connection is Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs, multipoint pairing with two devices, and Google Fast Pair for Android 6.0 and above. A 3.5mm cable allows wired listening. Battery life is rated at about 80 hours with ANC off and about 45 hours with ANC on, and charging is over USB-C, with 15 minutes giving about 13 hours of playback.
