The W80 is a closed over-ear headphone that pairs 40mm dynamic drivers, which use titanium-coated composite diaphragms, with hybrid active noise cancellation and passive isolation. Noise reduction is rated up to -49dB, and an ambient sound mode with adjustable levels lets the wearer hear their surroundings. A built-in microphone uses AI algorithms to separate voice from background noise on calls.
Wireless playback runs over Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs, and the headphones can stay connected to two devices at once and switch between them. Battery life is about 65 hours with ANC off and about 40 hours with ANC on. A 15-minute charge adds around 10 hours of playback. A double press of the multi-function button cycles through sound effect modes.
A 3.5mm AUX cable is included for wired listening, which switches off Bluetooth mode. The EDIFIER ConneX app provides a customised equalizer, a find-my-product function, control settings, prompt volume adjustment and product renaming, and it can also set the switchable ANC modes.
