The W220T is a pair of true wireless earbuds built on a Qualcomm QCC3056 chipset and certified for Snapdragon Sound. They use 13 mm dynamic drivers with a liquid crystal composite diaphragm and a semi-in-ear shape intended to reduce pressure in the ear canal. Supported codecs are SBC, aptX and aptX Adaptive, the last of which allows 24-bit/96 kHz listening and switches to a low-latency mode of about 89 ms for gaming.
For calls, each earbud has two microphones. These work with cVc beamforming noise reduction and aptX Voice, which samples at up to 32 kHz. Controls are operated by pinching a debossed area on the stem, and the earbuds are rated IP54 against water and sweat. The Edifier Connect app adds preset EQs, control customisation and a Game Mode for devices without aptX Adaptive.
The earbuds connect over Bluetooth 5.3 using the A2DP, AVRCP and HFP profiles with a LDS antenna. Playback is about 6 hours on the earbuds plus 18 hours from the USB-C charging case, for a combined 24 hours. A 15-minute charge gives around 2 hours of listening.
