The TWS5 is a pair of true wireless in-ear earbuds that connect over Bluetooth V5.0 with aptX. Sound comes from bio-diaphragm drivers, and the frequency response is stated as 20Hz - 20kHz. Playback time is up to 32 hours when the earbuds are recharged from the magnetic charging case.
Each earbud can be used on its own or together as a stereo pair. In single-ear mode the two earbuds can be connected to two different phones at the same time, while binaural mode gives a stereo connection to one phone. A laser direct structuring (LDS) antenna is used for the wireless link, with a stated range of up to 10m (30ft) including walls.
Controls are by touch: tapping plays or pauses music and answers or ends calls. Taking the earbuds out of the case connects them to the device automatically, and they shut down automatically as well. Calls use Qualcomm cVc 8.0 noise cancelling for the microphone, aimed at reducing ambient and wind noise. An IPX5 rating covers splashes and sweat. Supported Bluetooth profiles are HSP, HFP, A2DP and AVRCP.
