The S90HD is a 4.1-channel home theatre set built around a wooden-enclosure soundbar, a wireless subwoofer and a pair of compact rear surround speakers. The cabinet material is intended to reduce acoustic resonance, and the speakers are magnetically shielded. Dolby and DTS decoding are listed, and the system delivers a combined RMS output of 70W from the subwoofer plus separate treble and mid-range amplification for the front and rear channels.
The subwoofer uses an 8 inch (210mm) bass driver and links to the system over a 5.8G wireless connection. The soundbar uses 2 3/4 inch (70mm) mid-range units and 3/4 inch (ø19mm) tweeters, and the rear speakers add 22W+22W of mid-range power. Frequency response is stated as 40Hz to 20kHz.
For connections, the system has HDMI input with ARC, optical, coaxial, line in, AUX and a sub out, plus Bluetooth V4.1 with Qualcomm aptX. This allows TVs, game consoles and desktop computers to be attached. A black remote control handles input switching and playback functions.
