The R2850DB is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers built around a three-way design, with separate amplification for treble, mid-range and bass drivers. Combined RMS output is 150W, and the cabinets are made from MDF. Stated frequency response runs from 42Hz to 20kHz.
Five inputs are provided: two line-level inputs, optical, coaxial and Bluetooth. Bluetooth is version 5.1 with Qualcomm aptX support, so iOS, Android, Mac and Windows devices can be paired. Wireless range for a stable connection is stated as up to 10 metres.
Level, treble, bass and source selection are adjusted with a control on the side panel of the speaker. A remote control is also referred to for volume adjustment. Each cabinet measures 258 x 461 x 316mm, and the set weighs 23kg net, so it suits a fixed desktop or shelf position.
