The R1580MB is a powered pair of bookshelf speakers built on the maker's R1100 platform and aimed at commercial and professional use. The Class D amplifier drives a 4 inch bass driver and a 13mm silk dome tweeter in each cabinet. The enclosures are made of MDF to keep acoustic resonance low, which suits speech in presentations, lectures and classrooms. A front-facing bass reflex port adds low-frequency output.
Two microphone inputs let the system work as a basic public address setup. Bass, treble and master volume are set on a side control panel, and a wireless remote provides volume adjustment and mute.
Sources connect through AUX, RCA or Bluetooth. The power supply accepts 100V-240V mains, so the set can be used in different regions. Each cabinet measures 140 x 228 x 177 mm, which keeps the footprint small for desks, shelves and compact rooms.
