The R1080BT is an active bookshelf speaker set with an amplifier built in. Each cabinet holds a 4-inch mid-range/bass driver and a 0.75-inch silk diaphragm treble driver. A DSP chip handles the two-way active crossover. The combined output is 24W RMS, given as 12W + 12W.
The enclosure is wood, which is intended to limit cabinet resonance and distortion. Controls are buttons on the top of the speaker, so volume and source can be operated without a remote.
Sources connect through Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless streaming, or through wired Line In and 3.5mm AUX sockets. These cover phones, laptops, tablets, PCs and other compatible devices. Frequency response is 67Hz - 20kHz, and each speaker measures 155mm × 115mm × 238mm.
