The QR30 is a two-piece active desktop speaker system. The active speaker holds the amplifier and controls, and the passive speaker connects to it. Each side has a 0.75-inch silk dome tweeter and a 2.75-inch long-throw mid-bass driver, driven by a Class-D amplifier from Texas Instruments. Total output is rated at 30W RMS (15W + 15W).
Sound can be shaped with three presets for music, movies and gaming, or with a custom profile made in the EDIFIER ConneX mobile app or the TempoHub computer app. The built-in lighting offers 12 preset effects based on TempoAbyss technology, and these can also be customised in the apps. Side-mounted knobs handle power and source selection, volume and playback, and light effects and brightness.
Sources connect over Bluetooth 5.4, which can hold two devices at once, or by wire through USB-A and a 3.5mm AUX input. Bluetooth supports the SBC codec.
