The MR5 is a pair of active studio monitors, each using a 5" woofer, a 3.75" mid-range driver and a 1" silk dome tweeter. Every driver has its own amplifier, with a digital 3-way active crossover and DRC handling the split. The tweeter has a dimpled waveguide to widen the listening area. Total output is 110W RMS, with a maximum SPL of 101dB at 1 metre.
Room compensation comes from rear High and Low knobs (±6dB above 10kHz and around 125Hz) plus Low Cut-Off, Acoustic Space and Desktop Control settings. Two preset sound modes and custom EQ are available in the EDIFIER ConneX app, which also handles playback control and the user manual.
Wired inputs are balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch TRS, unbalanced RCA and a 3.5mm AUX, with a 3.5mm headphone output. A Bluetooth 6.0 receiver supports LDAC and SBC and can connect to two devices at once. The system is Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified at 24-bit/96kHz.
