The ES850NB is a foldable over-ear headphone that combines hybrid active noise cancellation with passive isolation from the closed ear cups. Noise reduction reaches up to 45 dB in the maker's lab measurements. It has 40mm dynamic drivers with titanium-coated composite diaphragms, three sound profiles, and a built-in microphone with AI voice filtering for calls. A Touch-to-Chat gesture on the right ear cup pauses playback and lets ambient sound in.
Wireless playback uses Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs, and the headphones carry Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Multipoint pairing keeps two Bluetooth devices connected at once. For wired use, a USB-C to USB-A cable connects to a computer or other devices; plugging it in turns Bluetooth off.
Battery life is rated at about 92 hours with ANC off and about 53 hours with ANC on. Charging is by USB-C. The EDIFIER ConneX mobile app and EDIFIER TempoHub desktop app provide EQ, sound effects, control settings and firmware updates. The headphones fold flat and come with a travel case.
