The ES20 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built around a 43mm full-range driver with neodymium magnets and a 55mm passive bass radiator, driven by a Class-D amplifier. Total output is 6W RMS, with four preset sound modes (Music, Gaming, Movies and Outdoor) to adapt the sound to the activity or environment.
The housing carries an IP67 rating, meaning full protection against dust and immersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. It weighs 326g and has a carrying strap. The built-in battery gives up to 15 hours of continuous playback, tested with SBC decoding, 50% volume and ambient light off. Five preset ambient light effects are included.
Connection is by Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC codec support. Two devices can be connected at the same time with multi-point, and two ES20 speakers can be paired for stereo. A MEMS microphone with noise cancellation handles calls. Playback is controlled from the top-mounted buttons or the EDIFIER ConneX app, which also switches source, sound and light effects and holds the user manual.
