The A100 is a powered stereo pair in MDF cabinets. Each speaker combines a horn-loaded aluminium ribbon tweeter with a 5-inch underhung Neo mid-woofer, driven by an internal Class-D amplifier. An XMOS processor handles the digital signal path. The system is Hi-Res audio certified and rated for a frequency response of 52Hz to 40kHz.
Amplification totals 10W + 10W for the treble and 40W + 40W for the woofers per channel pair (RMS). A subwoofer output is provided for adding a separate bass unit, with a maximum level of 800mV. Signal-to-noise ratio is 90dB (A) or better.
Sources connect through AUX, PC, USB, optical or Bluetooth inputs. Bluetooth runs on a Qualcomm chip with aptX support and a stated working range of about 10 metres. A Windows driver is available for download. The speakers are offered in black, red and white finishes.
