The Arrows is a single-knob boost built from discrete components. The Level control either boosts or cuts the signal, so it can add an extra gain stage in front of overdrive and fuzz pedals, tighten up bass-heavy fuzzes, brighten neck pickups, or lift a clean signal by itself. The voicing emphasises the midrange, firms up the low end and opens up the top end.
The circuit is fully analog and uses true bypass, switched by an electronic relay. Because of the relay, audio does not pass when the pedal is unpowered. Input impedance is 10 MΩ and output impedance is below 10 kΩ. Current draw is 8 mA.
The pedal runs from a standard 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-center barrel connector and should not be run at higher voltages. Pedal-specific, isolated power supplies are recommended to avoid noise. It is handmade in Akron, Ohio, is covered by a limited lifetime warranty, and an operation manual is available for download.
