The UBOOM is a small cylindrical Bluetooth speaker built around two 45mm full-range drivers with dual passive radiators and DSP processing, which spreads sound evenly in a 360° pattern. A button switches between an indoor mode, which boosts bass, and an outdoor mode, which plays louder. Output is 2 x 12W.
It is rated IPX7 and can be submerged in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Two 2200 mAh cells give up to 16 hours of playback depending on volume and content. A full charge over USB-C at 5V/2A takes about 4 hours, and the speaker can play while charging. It switches off automatically after 30 minutes with no connection.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP) or a wired AUX input; Bluetooth and AUX cannot play at the same time. A built-in microphone handles hands-free calls and the voice assistant. Two speakers can be paired as a true wireless stereo left/right pair. The current 2023 version cannot stereo-pair with earlier versions.
