The UA100 is a pocket-sized USB DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier. It uses an ESS ES9038Q2M converter paired with two Ricore RT6863 amplifier chips, and decodes PCM up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512. A low-dropout voltage regulator is used to keep the noise floor low.
Headphones connect to either a 3.5mm single-ended jack or a 4.4mm balanced jack. Both outputs support headphone impedances from 16Ω to 300Ω. An LED indicator shows the sample rate for DSD playback and confirms the connection to gaming consoles. A dedicated mode makes it usable with portable game consoles. Power management is designed to draw less current from smartphones.
It connects over USB-C using a CT7601 USB audio chip and works with Android, iOS, Windows and macOS through USB Audio Class 1.0 and 2.0. Because the connection is USB, audio runs without added sync delay. Different USB-C cables can be swapped to suit a phone or a desktop. A USB-C to Lightning cable for iOS devices is not included.
