The Air 2 is a pair of true wireless earbuds with 10 mm wool composite dynamic drivers. They are certified for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and can use the LDAC codec at up to 990 kbps for 96 kHz/24-bit material. LDAC is not active out of the box: it is switched on in the EarFun Audio app, which triggers a firmware update, and it works only with Android 8.0 or newer devices that support it.
Each earbud has a four-microphone array for calls, a Game Mode with latency under 55 ms, and sealed internal circuitry with an IPX7 rating. The charging case is not waterproof. Battery life is up to 9 hours per charge and about 40 hours with the case, falling to 5.5 hours and 23 hours with LDAC on. Ten minutes of charging gives about 2 hours of playback.
The earbuds connect over Bluetooth 5.3 and can stay paired to two devices at once, although multipoint switches off when LDAC is enabled. The case charges by USB-C or on a wireless charger. The iOS and Android app covers battery status, equalizer, touch controls and noise cancellation settings.
