Osmo Action 6 is a compact action camera built around a 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor and a lens whose aperture can be set between f/2.0 and f/4.0. In Auto mode the aperture moves within a chosen range, a fixed f/2.0 mode helps in low light, and a Starburst mode at f/4.0 turns bright city lights into star shapes. The sensor supports 4K/120fps in 4:3, a 4K Custom mode for cropping to different aspect ratios after shooting, SuperNight video up to 4K/60fps, 10-bit D-Log M, and 8K/30fps in 16:9. Stabilization is RockSteady 3.0 with HorizonSteady up to 4K/60fps.
The body has front and rear OLED touchscreens, 50GB of internal storage, gesture control, and operation from -20° C to 45° C. It is waterproof to 20 m without a case, with a built-in water pressure gauge and colour temperature sensor for diving. Optional Macro and FOV Boost lenses extend the field of view from 155° to 182° or allow close focus.
It connects to two DJI wireless microphone transmitters directly, without a receiver, and also has a three-mic array. Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.1 handle file transfer, and the DJI Mimo app handles preview, editing, livestreaming and cloud upload. A GPS Bluetooth remote controller is supported.
