The DP-29F is a belt-driven turntable that plays and finishes a record automatically. A single button starts playback, and once the record ends the tone arm returns to its rest position. It plays 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and has a speed selector.
The plinth is a rigid die-cast aluminum body designed to give an even inertial mass for steady platter rotation. It ships with a moving magnet cartridge fitted with a DSN-82 stylus. Wow and flutter is rated at 0.15 % (WRMS). The belt is rubber silicone and the motor is AC.
A switchable phono equaliser is built in, so the turntable can connect to an amplifier or receiver line input that has no phono stage. The unit has captive RCA cables. The version sold in the US is designed for 110-120 V 60 Hz mains, while units sold in Europe work on 220-240 V 50 Hz.
