The AVR-A1H is a network AV receiver with 15 discrete power amplifiers and a 15.4-channel processing section. It supports up to a 9.4.6 speaker configuration and decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D. Four independent subwoofer outputs allow several powered subs to be set up, and one of them can drive a tactile transducer.
On the video side, all seven HDMI inputs are 8K-capable, with 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through, 8K upscaling, HDCP 2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG. Gaming features include VRR, QFT and ALLM. Room correction is handled by Audyssey MultEQ XT32 with the supplied measuring microphone, and Dirac Live can be added as a paid upgrade. The chassis uses triple-layer construction, a large power transformer, cast iron feet and gold-plated speaker terminals.
For connectivity it offers Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus HEOS multi-room streaming, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Roon Tested status. Custom-install tools include IP, RS232 and web control, Control4 SDDP certification and remote monitoring. It supports three zones, with HDMI output to a zone.
