The SC LIVE 2 is a standalone two-deck DJ controller running Engine DJ OS. A 7-inch multi-gesture touchscreen, three media slots and built-in Wi-Fi let it play from streaming services, USB drives, an SD card or a connected Dropbox account without a computer. Supported streaming services include Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatport, Beatsource, SoundCloud GO+ and TIDAL, and tracks are analysed on the unit.
Each deck has four dual-layer performance pads covering Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Manual Loop and Roll modes, with a Bank button that opens slots 5-8 for eight pad slots per deck. Effects include knob-controlled channel Sweep FX and 13 assignable BPM FX with a dedicated control section. Engine Lighting provides beat-synced automatic light shows for Philips Hue, Nanoleaf and DMX fixtures. Built-in speakers with their own volume knob and power switch can be used for practice, streaming or personal monitoring.
Outputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA for the main mix, plus quarter-inch and 3.5 mm headphone jacks and a quarter-inch microphone input. In Computer Mode the unit works as a controller for Serato DJ (Pro license included) or Virtual DJ (license sold separately) over its USB computer port. Bluetooth audio in and out is supported.
