SUB M-10 D

The SUB M 10 D is a compact active subwoofer built around a 10-inch long-stroke woofer that fires downward. The cone is a sandwich of carbon fibre at the front and paper pulp at the back, and its shape removes the need for a dust cap. An integrated Class D amplifier delivers 300 W RMS continuous power and 500 W peak.

A remote control switches between two modes. Cinema mode lifts the lowest frequencies for film soundtracks, while HiFi mode gives a more linear response and aims at blending with the front speakers. The cabinet base is 25 mm wood laminate carrying the woofer, and an aluminium base with spacers lifts the cabinet 45 mm off the floor.

It connects through stereo RCA line inputs (low-pass filtered) or a mono LFE input, so it can be used with most amplifiers, receivers and processors. Placement in a corner, or otherwise along a wall, is advised for the best bass output. The model is listed in the discontinued range and comes in a white high-gloss lacquer finish.
