The SPEKTOR 1 is a small two-way loudspeaker from DALI's entry-level SPEKTOR series, now listed among the maker's discontinued products. It pairs a 4½-inch woofer, built specifically for this model, with a 21 mm woven fabric dome tweeter. The woofer cone blends fine-grain paper with wood fibre pulp, which keeps it light and rigid while the uneven surface limits resonance.
The drivers and crossover are DALI-designed with the aim of keeping signal loss close to zero. Driver materials and geometry are chosen for wide dispersion, so the sound stays balanced away from the central axis and the speaker can be placed with some freedom. The tweeter dome is described as less than half the weight of most other soft domes (0.056 mg per mm2).
The cabinet is compact and can sit on a shelf, be fixed to a wall or go on a stand. The load is rated at 6 ohms with 83 dB sensitivity, and the speaker is designed to be easy on amplifiers, with 40–100 W recommended. It is also suited to use as a surround speaker. Connection is by speaker cable from an amplifier or receiver. The listed finish is Walnut.
