The RUBICON VOKAL is a centre-channel speaker built to carry dialogue and effects in a home cinema or stereo-plus-centre setup. It is described as the matching centre for every model in the RUBICON range, with enough output to pair with the RUBICON 8 while remaining small enough for most living rooms.
Two 6½-inch low-loss wood fibre woofers handle bass and midrange. Their cones are light, rigid and randomly uneven in structure, intended to give piston-like movement and reduce surface resonance. The drivers use SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet technology with a slitted copper cap, a soft low-loss rubber surround and a cast-aluminium chassis. A hybrid tweeter module combines a 29 mm soft dome with a planar element that reaches down to 2.5 kHz, widening dispersion.
Connection is by gold-plated bi-wiring speaker terminals. The cabinet is finished in walnut veneer, and the drivers are made in-house in Denmark.
