The RUBICON 6 is a passive floorstanding loudspeaker from the DALI RUBICON series. Two 6½" woofers with wood fibre cones handle bass and midrange, and a hybrid tweeter module pairs a 29 mm soft dome with a planar element. The planar element works down to 2.5 kHz to keep dispersion wide. The design is intended to give fuller bass in larger rooms than the smaller models in the range.
The drivers use DALI's SMC magnet system, a pole-piece set in a slitted copper cap, to keep distortion low even at low volume. The woofers have a cast-aluminium chassis and a low-loss rubber surround. The cabinet has a 25 mm thick front baffle, with separate internal chambers for the midrange and bass drivers. The midrange bass reflex port sits directly behind the woofer.
The speaker connects to an amplifier through gold-plated bi-wiring terminals. It is specified for amplifiers delivering 40 to 200 watts into a 4 ohm nominal impedance. The page lists a Walnut veneer finish and a removable grille.
