The OBERON ON-WALL is a two-way on-wall loudspeaker with one 29 mm soft dome tweeter and one 5¼-inch low loss woofer. The woofer cone is made from fine-grain paper pulp reinforced with wood fibres, and the magnet system includes a patented SMC (Soft Magnetic Composite) disc intended to reduce distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents.
The cabinet is CNC machined high-density MDF covered in vinyl, with internal bracing and acoustic damping along the sides, top and bottom. The bass ports fire downwards, so the speaker works together with the wall behind it to extend low-frequency output. Driver materials and geometry give a wide dispersion pattern, which helps with placement and off-axis listening. It can be used in stereo or surround-sound systems.
It is rated for a frequency range of 55-26,000 Hz (±3 dB), 87 dB sensitivity and 6 ohm nominal impedance, with a recommended amplifier power of 25-100 watts. The model is listed in the maker's discontinued range and is shown in a Light Oak vinyl finish with a grille.
