The C2MIDI Pro works in two modes. As a USB MIDI interface, it links a computer or mobile operating system over USB-C to MIDI hardware with 5-pin DIN connectors. As a smart MIDI cable, it joins two MIDI devices directly over 5-pin DIN, drawing its power from the MIDI Out port of the connected device, so no computer is needed.
Beyond simple transport, the unit works as a standalone MIDI filter, mapper and router. These functions are configured with the free UxMIDI Tools software, which is available for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
