The Talisman V2 Gold is a moving-coil cartridge built around a patented, fully pivot-point-symmetrical coil arrangement with eight magnets and gold-wire coils. The stylus is a Micro-HD diamond on a boron cantilever, mounted in a hand-polished ebony body that is chosen for its low resonance.
The system weighs between 10.6 and 11.2 g, so it suits a wide range of universal tonearms. Output is 0.5 mV at 5 cm/s with a system impedance of 50 Ω, which means it needs a phono stage with moving-coil input. Recommended tracking force is 2.8 g (± 0.2 g), and tracking ability is rated at 80 µm.
Frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with channel separation of 25–30 dB and channel balance better than 0.5 dB. The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years when the registration card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
