The Stradivari V2.1 is a moving-coil cartridge built by hand at micro scale. Its body is made from ebony that has been seasoned for months, and it houses coils wound from 24 carat gold in an absolutely pivot-symmetrical arrangement. A precisely ground twelve-finger platform is part of the construction, and the design uses the maker's patented V2 technology, which is credited with a dynamic range of 85 dB.
The stylus is mounted on a boron cantilever with a clearaudio Prime Line diamond profile. Output is 0.5 mV at 5 cm/s with a system impedance of 50 Ω, and the frequency response is stated as 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Channel separation is 25 to 30 dB with channel balance under 0.5 dB, and tracking ability is given as 80 µm.
At 7.0 g the cartridge is light, and the recommended tracking force is 2.8 g (±0.2 g). It mounts in a turntable tonearm and connects to a phono stage through the arm's cable. The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
