The smart double matrix is a compact record washer derived from the double matrix professional SONIC. It cleans both sides of a record in a single pass, and the maker states that even heavily soiled records can look like new after roughly two minutes of cleaning.
The brush support is adjustable with a slider to suit common record sizes. Cleaning fluid is applied by pressing a button, so the amount can be matched to how dirty the record is. A clamp holds the record and keeps moisture away from the label. Each cleaning step is controlled manually, and the platter can turn clockwise or counter-clockwise. An anti-static brush unit discharges static build-up.
A suction turbine dries the record and is described as low in noise. The housing is satin-finished black plastic built for stability and low vibration. It is mains powered with a rear rocker switch that brings standby consumption to 0.0 W, and it measures about 220 × 290 × 210 mm with the clamp fitted.
