The Reference Jubilee is a belt-drive turntable built on a resonance-optimised chassis made from laminated wood and aluminium. A heavy platter of dense technical plastic sits on a stainless-steel sub-platter, both dynamically balanced, and rides on an inverted ceramic bearing shaft with a patented magnetic bearing (CMB). It plays at 33 ⅓, 45 and 78 rpm.
The drive uses a coreless 24 V DC motor that is isolated from the chassis by a suspension of 18 O-rings. Speed is monitored by an optical sensor (Optical Speed Control). A hybrid control circuit feeds a reference voltage from a 12-bit DAC into an analogue motor controller, which compensates for friction and temperature changes at the platter bearing and belt. Speed can be calibrated automatically at the press of a button, and the stated wow and flutter is below ±0.05 %.
The deck has height-adjustable feet and an external power supply. It ships without a tonearm or cartridge, and the chassis includes a tonearm base. Power draw is 2.1 W in operation and 1.8 W when switched off.
