The Performer V2 is a moving-magnet cartridge from the MM V2 series. Its body is hand-polished ebony, chosen as a low-resonance base. The design aims to keep the moving mass low and uses an HD grinding technique for the stylus, together with damping of the pick-up system.
The stylus is an elliptical diamond on an aluminium cantilever. The cartridge delivers roughly 3.3 mV at 1 kHz and 5 cm/s, covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and is specified for a tracking force of 2.2 g ± 0.3 g. Each unit is measured several times across four levels, analysed and hand-selected to keep the stereo channels well matched with low phase and transient distortion.
It is intended to work with common tonearms and loads into a standard 47 kΩ input with 100 pF of capacitance. The whole cartridge weighs 8.4 g. A two-year manufacturer warranty applies if the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
