The Double Matrix Professional Sonic washes, vacuums and conserves both sides of a record in a single pass. The cleaning steps can be run one by one by hand, or started as a fully automatic sequence with one button press. Rotation is available in both directions, and fluid is applied at the push of a button.
The Sonic option uses vibration to loosen dirt from the groove while keeping stress on the record low. The vacuum turbine has overheating protection, and an integrated anti-static brush unit discharges static build-up. LEDs on the top surface show the machine's status, and a level indicator shows how much cleaning fluid remains.
The housing is aluminium and the unit weighs about 16 kg. Operation is described as nearly silent, and the micro-velvet cleaning strips can be exchanged in a few simple steps. It runs from mains power, drawing up to about 450 W, and uses a rocker switch on the rear to cut consumption to 0.0 W when switched off.
