This is a collector's turntable from Clearaudio's Celebrity series, built around a body of high-density wood fibre styled after an electric guitar. It plays 33 ⅓ and 45 rpm records using a ground flat belt, a 12 V DC motor decoupled with an O-ring suspension, and a speed-monitoring system that corrects for belt and bearing friction and temperature changes. Speed is also recalibrated automatically at every restart.
A single control modelled on a guitar volume knob handles operation: a press starts the deck, switches between 33 ⅓ and 45 rpm, or puts it into standby, and turning it fine-tunes speed in calibration mode. The platter is a 30 mm high-density technical plastic with a CNC-turned aluminium sub-platter, running on a hardened steel axle in a bronze bushing on a Teflon plate. A special version of the Profiler tonearm and a dedicated Celebrity MM cartridge complete the deck.
It is offered in a black finish or a wood look with rosewood veneer. Each unit ships with a numbered special-release album by Al Di Meola and a guitar pick. A universal-input plug-in power supply works on all mains voltages and frequencies.
