The Minx Xi combines a network streamer, digital-to-analogue conversion and a stereo power amplifier in one chassis. Music can be streamed over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, including Spotify Connect, and the unit also plays from USB media. A Wolfson WM8728 DAC handles conversion, and the class AB amplifier delivers 40 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 55 W into 4 ohms.
Digital sources include three USB media inputs, TosLink and S/PDIF, all supporting 16-24-bit and 32-96kHz material. A BT100 Bluetooth receiver with A2DP and aptX supports wireless playback from phones and tablets. Analogue sources connect through two RCA inputs or a 3.5mm input. Supported file formats include ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, WMA, MP3, AAC, HE AAC, AAC+ and OGG.
Outputs cover speaker terminals, a headphone output and a subwoofer output. The case is finished in gloss black or gloss white and measures 90 x 270 x 285mm, weighing 5.8kg.
